Sex & Nudity

In one boy's dormitory, lewd pictures are posted on the walls.

There is a scene in which a nude man and nude woman (both teenagers) are on the ground performing what looks like an animal-like sex act. They snarl and wrestle with each other, the girl's bare breasts are visible.

A nude woman walks into, and around an empty bathroom, she is shown from behind, revealing her butt, and then she turns around and her breasts are briefly exposed.

Violence & Gore

Pranks are played at the school. One in particular, shows a young man getting carried into a bathroom by other young men, we later see they've tied him upside down and put his head into the toilet.

A group of young boys are shot at by some older boys, and one man is later killed at point blank range off-screen.

A scene features some young men with plastic bags over their faces to see who can hold their breath the longest.

At the end of the film, five teenagers open fire (with pistols, machine guns, grenades and mortars) on a large gathering of people, including children, senior citizens and adults. One man is graphically shot in the head by a girl.

In one scene three boys are being whipped for their insolence. However, the first two boy's whippings are off-screen. The last, is shown in pain and silent agony.

Profanity

Non-frequent use of mild profanities.

Three boys secretly drink an alcoholic beverage. They finish the bottle to the very last drop.

The whipping scene could be disturbing to some viewers, due to the fact that the main character is crying by the end of his "punishment."

The whole film presents a somewhat disturbing tone, the school is very strict on the boys, and it's made to be felt mentally by the audience.

The film was very controversial at the time of it's release, due to the fact that it deals with a school shooting.
