Anachronisms: The left side of the door has 1862 carved in it, even though the film is set in the 1780s.
Anachronisms: The modern royal coat of arms (adopted during the reign of Queen Victoria) is visible.
Anachronisms: A globe shows post-1846 United States boundaries, including the Louisiana Purchase and Oregon Territory.
Continuity: When Lady Pembroke first discusses Dr. Willis with Pitt, Pitt reaches out for Lady Pembroke's note twice.
Anachronisms: Early in the film, King George rides his horse across a lawn which has clearly been mowed by a modern lawnmower, as tire tracks are visible.
Continuity: Pitt and Thurlow go to visit the King at Kew during the winter - but the leafy green trees outside clearly indicate that the scene was filmed in summer (shooting took place from July to early September).
Anachronisms: The King refers to a litter of pigs as "Tamworths", but that name was not given to the breed until around 1810.
Anachronisms: During all of the live musical performances (most notably during the Handel Water Music performance that the King attends) the instruments are tuned to the modern tuning of A=440Hz instead of the lower pitched A=415Hz that 18th century instruments were tuned to.
