Harrison Ford is, and always will be, the man. Unfortunately, that doesn't change the fact that his career has been sputtering for some time now (Indiana Jones notwithstanding), and with his latest film Extraordinary Measures, it seems unlikely that he is going to reclaim the audience that has been slowly slipping away from him. The movie co-stars Brendan Fraser, and while I might have been interested if this was a buddy comedy (ha!), instead we have a serious drama about a father looking for someone to help him cure his children of a rare genetic disorder. Just look at that picture... even these guys can't believe they ended up in this movie. Extraordinary Measures is based on the true story of John Crowley as documented in the book The Cure: How a Father Raised $100 Million – And Bucked the Medical Establishment – In a Quest to Save His Children. Why should you buy the soundtracks of Christopher Young? Well, for instance the music is quite good on some of them. And if you want to have more fun with the release, check out the tracklisting. You're bound to find somehing along the lines of "Accelerated Brundle Disease" or "Dancing With a Wet Handkerchief on Your Mother's Grave". But wait, there's more! The CD of Hush for intance contains the following titles: "Hush", "Little Baby", "Don't You Cry", "Mama's Gonna Buy", "You", "A". It's all fun. If you pay close attention, you might also find that several Young releases contain pun homages to famous composers as well. Below I've gathered all I could find, now it's up to you to guess which composers are referenced in the track titles. I might add that some of them are only guesses and I couldn't find references some of Young's biggest works »

Brendan Fraser has signed on to join Harrison Ford in medical drama Crowley, uniting Indiana Jones and The Mummy's Rick O'Connell at last. We were hoping that together they'd be lassooing and/or casting ancient mystical spells to combat disease while outrunning ravenous hordes of voles or something, but judging by the synopsis things are set to be a little less exciting. The film's based on the true story of John (Fraser) and Aileen Crowley, whose two children were born with a rare genetic disorder. Although there was no treatment available, they refused to give up hope, tracking down a researcher (Ford) with a potential cure. Hmm, so we're talking more Lorenzo's Oil than Temple of Doom, but we're still optimistic that some sort of religious artifact and its mystical powers will come into play somewhere. The film's set to be directed by Tom Vaughan, he of the rather »

The latest issue of Production Weekly has listed Brendan Fraser in the cast of Crowely, the upcoming drama with Harrison Ford from director Tom Vaughan (What Happens in Vegas). The film is based on the true story of John and Aileen Crowley, whose two children had a rare genetic disorder. Rather than give up hope that nothing could help his children, John Crowley found a researcher with a potential cure. Fraser will play the title character while Ford will play the researcher, as well as executive produce. Robert Nelson Jacobs (The Water Horse: Legend of the Deep, The Shipping News) penned the screenplay. It was inspired by a Wall Street Journal article and subsequent book, The Cure, by Geeta Anand. Fraser will hit the screen later this month in Inkheart, an adventure fantasy flick based on Cornelia Funke’s novel. It also stars Sienna Guillory, Paul Bettany and Helen Mirren. »
